This day will always be very special to me. Not only was it my first destination wedding ever. Also have I been back to Amsterdam, where I spent my semester abroad the year before, for the first time after 9 months. Bella & Nick have also been the most amazing clients ever. They seriously had the most relaxed wedding schedule you can ever imagine. The day before the wedding they had a get together dinner with their family and the closest friends. The wedding day started with a long breakfast for only themselves, then a very chilled getting ready with either two of their best friends and after that the three of us went to shoot their first look and a stroll through the close by Ooster Park. They simple knew what they want from the start and they did not try to follow any common wedding rules. After our session Bella then took a walk back – in her wedding dress! through the Park to the Hotel. Nick and I already went to the amazing urban wedding location, the Pompstation in Amsterdam where the first guests had already arrived. The location was decorated with some of the most beautiful flower creations I’ve seen so far, crafted by Bellas aunt. After the ceremony they had no plans anymore. They were chatting & celebrating with all of their family and friends. And what else do we need than simply good food, music, dancing and time with their people.
